Are there real life superheroes? Not people who dress up and fight crime, but those who do good deeds or save a life: Are they superheroes or just heroes?

For that matter, what makes a hero super? Is it the fact that they have powers or that they do good deeds and ask for nothing in return? We have people like that in our world but they aren’t considered super.
